Asking why mail.protection.outlook.com is not delivering my emails? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Background

In the past two days I've sent mail to two recipients who claim that my mail has not been delivered to them.  Looking at my logs mail.protection.outlook.com responds "Sender OK" and then "Recipient OK".  Data is sent and then "RECEIVED: 250".  But the intended recipients never receive the mail and because mail.protection.outlook.com says everything is OK I don't receive a failure notification either.  The emails just disappear into the ether!

  • I have but get no useful answer.  It seems to be a forum for Outlook users not senders trying to mail Outlook 365 users   I do not use Outlook.  My Mail client sends the mail to my own mailserver running hMailServer which then sends the mail to the recipient.  The problem is that when MX lookup says the receiving server is mail.protection.outlook.com and sends the mail there it just gets lost.  I can provide a full SMTP transcript saying everything is fine and accepted it just never gets to the recipient.
