    Is there any way to turn off the scheduled scan portion of One Care? I have a laptop that is not on all of the time and it "takes forever" to get any program to run when the stupid thing runs> We  need a way to run the scan when the machine may be on, but not while in use.

    You can pick a time when the PC is on and not in use, but you can't disable the scheduled scan, which really should only take a few minutes, though it can be a real pain when those few minutes are when you are trying to use the PC for something else.
