My network is never "healthy" RRS feed

  • Question

  • The WHS icon is always red and Network Security always indicates that I
have a critical problem.   The messages are always the same: that the
anti-virus software on one or more of my machines is either not
installed or out of date.  That's not true;  all the machines are
running the same AV and definitions are updated daily.
Is there anyway to get WHS to recognize the actual AV status or do I
just have to tell it to ignore it completely?

  • Hi Athena,
this is an annoying issue which never got fixed.

I see this all the time for systems, which are no longer existing and have backup set to Off in the Computers tab after rebooting the server and I have to ignore this error manually over and over. Also in some cases when computers start the security center may notify the server, that the virus scanner is not loaded, while it is still starting up, or while it is unloading for updates.

But this later thing usually settles down after some minutes.

    Best greetings from Germany
