Re-activation of WINDOWS XP Professional (for VMFusion)

  Hi,
  I recently bought VMFusion for my mac and tried to install it so i could run windows and mac side by side, but it told me that it had to re-activate windows so that it'd be more compatible... so i said yes.
  
  when i did that, my windows xp did not activate, even though it is a genuine copy of xp - it said that ive used it too many times to actually re-activate (so even though its the same computer, why cant i re-activate the pc partition on my mac?)
  
  Help please. i dont want to spend even more money either buying another version of windows or spending $$$ on software i can now NOT use because it wont reactivate..
