Opened 2007 Excel files with the same information are saving smaller in Excel 2007 and also in Excel 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just noticed that Excel files I have previously saved from Excel 2007 are saving smaller when opened in my new computer in Excel 2013 - but not changed - and I also noticed when I opened the old file in Excel 2007 on the computer from which it was originally saved, it is also saving as a smaller KB file that it was before.

Why would this be.  I've used a comparison program to compare the old file to the newer files and they show to be exactly the same content.

    Thanks

The 'Academic Initiatives - General Discussions' forum is for any posts not covered under any of the other forums as related to Microsoft's Academic Initiatives.

As it's off-topic here, I am moving the question to the Where is the forum for... forum.
