On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0x46' to display the error text.
Error: 0x46
That's an odd error! Error: 0x46 - 'The remote server has been paused or is in the process of being started'Coupled with an 'Access Denied' in the Validation area, it suggests a possible problem with the connection to the MS activation servers, or a Security settings problem with a file involved in licensing.I'd first attempt to Validate the install by going to the Genuine Validation site, and validating Windows - if it fails, then use the Validation diagnostics to see if that can isolate the problem area.

Are you using a third-party firewall?I doubt that it's a KeyGen problem - that would probably have shown up in the report.Go to the Diagnostics page direct, and see what it has to say...

No, I had turned off the Microsoft fire-wall thinking it was the problem, other then that I have no other fire wall. However, the router in which I am getting my internet acess from is running Trednet.
The report said everything passed, odd?Monday, December 13, 2010 3:24 AM -

Trendnet routers don't usually caused such problems, although I've not liked the two versions I've seen. All I can suggest is that you try using telephone activation, and see if that works - if not, then ring the number back again, and this time do not respond to the service request, which should force an operator to pick up
