How to merge 2 different CRM 365 Domains RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are facing the next problem:

During the CRM migration to Office 365 we missed some step and now we have the following:

1 Domain in Office 365 called innovaac.onmicrosoft.com where we have our CRM migrated and all our data in it. In this domain we have an expired CRM license.

1 Domain in Office 365 called innovaconsulting.es where we have everything else. Here we also have available CRM license but of course this CRM is empty of data.

What we would like to do is to have everything in innovaconsulting.es which actually is our domain. I would like to know what should we do to move/migrate our CRM from innovaac.onmicrosoft.com to innovaconsulting.es and afterwards get rid of innovaac.onmicrosoft.com because we won't use it as it is an automatically created domain during the migration process.

Hope someone could give us some light! :):)

  • HI Anand,

this will be a data migration project. You can use Scribe or  give SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) a chance.  Kingswaysoft offers some Dynamics CRM connectors for SSIS free for devolloping. This connector from Kingswaysoft offers  Data Source and Data Destination for Dynamics CRM. You define innovaac.onmicrosoft.com as the Datasource and  innovaconsulting.es as destination.

You can define SSIS-packages to   "transport" every table from the source to the destination. The matching is very easy, but you muss respect the referential integry. So starting with accounts (without primary contact), then importing contact, then update the primary contact, then importing the other data....
