Restoring one users data RRS feed

  • We had a situation over the weekend where one users tasks/activities were deleted (still trying to track that down). Other users are fine and did a fair amount of work, so just a blanket restore is out of the picture. I do have a test environment that I can load a backup from Friday and see all of the specific users data into so we can see that data. Is there a way to restore just the one users data back into the production system (all of his activities are what is gone) without erasing everything the other users did over the weekend?

    Update. It looks like all of the one users OPEN tasks are missing. They are not closed and I can't seem to track down what caused them to disappear.

  • There isn't an option for selective restore out of the box.  I'd look into restoring from backup in another enviornment and then selectively import the data back to production.

  • I did restore the backup to my test environment so I can see those activities. How can I get those activities from the test environment to the live environment? Can I get the activities and the notes in them?

    I still can't figure out why just the one users open activities are missing......

  • Hi, just a thought, but maybe someone clicked 'reassign records' on that user's form. Have you tried searching for various activity records where the 'created by' = your problem user and the created on is within the timeframe that you're missing?
