I have Three primary site server , one is centarl for reportng and software update point , and others for all roles except reporting pint.
I have a problem with a MP on one of the primary site.The mpcontrol manager states that the MP is not responding to HTTP requests.
The http error is 12002.
I am trying a lot of things , but the messege still appears. also I am trying the below procedure:
1. Remove the MP role , SUP , and state migration point roles.
Uninstall BITS, and WebDAV 7.0 x86
2. Remove WSUS (while uninstalling don’t choose log files and database)
3. Remove IIS
4. Reboot
5. Reinstall IIS
6. Enable Bits (Install BITS)
I installed WebDAV 7.5 x86
7. Configure Windows Server 2008 for Site Systems as per article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx
8. Reinstall WSUS
9. Add back the all Roles
10. Add back the MP role.
11. Then I View the MPsetup.log file to make sure the MP installed correctly. and it is.
Under site status , site system status all the component healthy
but under component status the SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER still show me the same error
The error still appears and i don't know what i can do.
