Licence for Ofiice 2007 Professional RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I had my product key for Office 2007 Professional but had problem with Outlook, giving a message, 'Not implemented' I then decided to unistall Office and reinstall. After reinstalling, I can't enter the Product ID as it gives me messages like '0' is an invalid character in a licence key. Please help.

  • Hello Tawanda Gorondondo,

Office Setup is asking for a Product Key, not a product ID.

Microsoft Product Keys are in the format of five groups of five alphanumeric characters each:  XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX   The characters can be any letter except "I" and "O" and any number except "1" and "0" (because these are easily confused).

Product Keys for Microsoft retail products are always printed on a yellow-orange "Proof of License" label inside the retail package.

Product Keys for Microsoft products preinstalled on your computer by the computer manufacturer (aka "OEM") are always printed on a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).  Windows CoAs are always affixed to the computer itself; Office CoAs are affixed to the disc holder sleeve that came with the computer's ancillary materials.
