    Hi,

    I am currently working as a ETL developer for a firm. I use SQL procedures to process the client text files. I have been working on this for past 8 months. I work with SQL Server 2005.

    I was planning for certification. I am confused as to whether i should take database developer path or business intelligence path. Which certification path would be best suited for my career?

    Hi Fred,

    ETL in SQL 2005 is covered in 70-445 MCTS BI SQL 2005, this sounds like the best certification path for you, but look at the content as it cover SSAS (including a bit of data mining) and SSRS as well as the ETL side SSIS.
    I would not do this certificate unless you have experience in these other technologies or you want to learn them.

    There is no certificate that covers your area of expertise alone.

    I am currently working as a Automation Test Engineer. I use SQL procedures and C#.NET . I have been working on this for past 11 months. I work with SQL Server 2005 and Visual studio 2008.


    I was planning for certification. Which certification path would be best suited for my career?
