What happens if my Mediasmart won't POST? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have read all the stuff about using the server recovery CD if you have a problem with your system, but what happens if there is a POST error?

Is there any way to tell what the problems are?

Does the mediasmart give beeps or anything to help you know what the problem is?

What if this happens outside of my warranty window?

Or what if I make changes to the machine that void the warranty?

Please see the HP manual for your server as it explains the health indicator displays on the front of the server and it also has a troubleshooting section.

kariya21 is right; however, you should contact HP if you are having POST problems.
