BUG: Keyword tool not matching results in Live Search RRS feed

    Possible Issue regarding the Keywords tool.

     

    When I use the Keywords tool to see how my website (draydesign.com) does in the search for the keywords "Web Design Cobourg", I get the result "No data is available".

     

    When I do a Live Search on the same keywords, my website home page and contact page turn up as #14 and #15 in the list of results.

     

    Why doesn't the Keywords tool result correspond more closely to actual search results?  Is this a bug or just my misinterpretation of what sort of result I should get from the tool?

    Hi Duane,

     

    Currently, the tool shows you the page score for those pages with the targeted keywords. It is possible that you were using too specific of wording. For example, when I ran a query using only "web design", it gave me the results for two pages. When I opened it up to "web" it showed many more for your site. It also sounds like you were actually looking for information about how you are currently ranking in the index and not a general keyword ranking score. Is that correct? What other details would you like to see?
