Windows Vista Bonus Pack Offer - failed validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I bought a new PC in February from CyberpowerPC that they said qualified for the Vista Home Premium Bonus Pack Offer.  I have activated the Vista Program, but when I try to redeem the bonus offer, I get a failed validation message.  Below is my diagnostic report.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Hi Redietz,

It would appear that your Vista is NOT failing Validation, it is, in fact, failing to meet the Eligibility Requirements for you to receive the Bonus Pack Offer.

Unfortunatly, I can only help with Activation and Validation issue, not Offer Eligibility problems. You will need to go to the "Genuine Advantage Offers - Eligibility Issues Forum" http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuineadvantage/threads They will be able to either fix the problem for you or explain in detail why your Vista doesn't qualify for the Offer.

Sorry I couldn't be more help,
    Darin MS

  • Hello Redietz,

Please go to http://microsoft.com/diag and click the Start Diagnostic button. The page will make sure your Vista is set-up correctly to be able to Validate. If any issues are found, the page will either provide a button that will automaticly fix the problem or will provide manual steps.

Once you pass the Diagnostic Page without issue, click the Validate Windows button.  You should Validate a Genuine.   If so, retry the Bonus Pack page, again.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS

  • Thanks Darin, I went to the site above and ran the diagnostics and every test passed.  I thdn clicked the validate button and was confirmed Genuine.  I then went back to the bonus pack redemption paste and tried again.  I received the error below.  It is my understanding that the system I purchased from cyberpowerpc is indeed eligible.  Please help.
