Whilst streaming from Home server to a connected PC the server reboots! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am finding very frequently when I play a video from the Home Server to a connected PC then part way thru' the video stops and the server reboots.
Any video and to any connected PC or even to Linux?

The single related event log entry says there was an unexpected shut down and reboot and to check the Event logs. But nothing else relates except the normal startup events.

    Any help gratefully received.

The system probably bugchecked. TS/RDP  (mstsc.exe) into your server and look for a MEMORY.DMP file in C:\Windows. If the system bugchecked, when you TS into the server, there should be a watson report sitting on the desktop ready to send.
