Email(Outlook) Integration in dynamics RRS feed

  • Hi All

    Can Email(outlook) integration of Dynamics achieved across 2 networks.

    We have sales modules  implemented in one xyz network and Service management module implemented  in ABC

     At present we have Outlook server in XYZ network.

  • Hi,

         Outlook integration depends on having access to the CRM discovery service. As long as Discovery service and CRM URL is accessible, it would work.

  • So you want to link outlook to two different CRM orgs? Yes you can do, just like multiple mail accounts, you may have multiple CRM accounts(since CRM 2011, i think) but for obvious reasons, you'll be able to sync your outlook calendar and activities to only one of the CRM org(called default one). But since outlook 2010, multiple exchange accounts are supported so not sure if each mail account can be connected to one CRM, you need to check that.

  • Outlook is a Windows client program which connects to an Exchange server (or other email servers).

    Outlook can be connected to several CRM Organizations but emails, contacts, tasks and appointments can be sychronized with only one CRM Organization.

    CRM 2013 has a new feature server side sync, which can connect a CRM Organization directly to an Exchange server.
