Restored Application server cannot authenticate to Microsoft.Crm.Platform.ComProxy and applog shows MSinstaller errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • Now I get to ask a question.

So I have a client who lost their 3.0 system

They have the databases and reinstalled.

That did not work so they restored the application server from tape.

    Microsoft.CRM.Platform.ComProxy is still showing up.

But we are getting Installer errors in the app log.

  • Hi Curtis,

I'd recommend installing crm 3.0 from scratch and attaching to the existing database.    Then installing any rollups you had before.  To attach to the existing database you may have to change the database version in the db.
