Deep Learning VM vs DSVM with GPU RRS feed

  • Question

  • I run in to the following problem:

When i launch the deep learning vm image, azure requires an empty or a new resource group + it creates some network configurations i don't want in my current subscription.

What is the most effective way to deploy a vm with the tensorflow framework and CUDA without an extensive job of GPU configuration (this for both windows and linux centos)?

    kind regards

  • Hi,

The Deep Learning VM and Data Science VM both have CUDA, cuDNN, and deep learning tools installed and configured. The deep learning VM has some additional deep learning samples and advanced tools, like fastparquet. It sounds like the data science VM would fit your needs, so I would encourage you to deploy that. You will have more control over the deployment with that option.
