MTA Security Fundamentals - Can someone explain it please. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Community.

I am looking at doing the MTA exam focusing on Security fundamentals, but do I need to do all of the MTA exams to get the certification? So like with some tests you have to do two tests to actually get the certification and certificate.

So I am following this here http://certification.comptia.org/ExploreCareers/careerpaths/career_roadmap.aspx - In the information Security section of course, so could I just get A+ and MTA SF.

    Many Thanks

  • No, you don't have to do all of the MTA exams. As soon as you pass the MTA on security fundamentals you will immediately receive the corresponding MTA certification. You get this from Microsoft, and it is independent from any other certifications that you might get from Comptia, regardless of whether Comptia might count the MTA as credit towards any particular career roadmap.
