Track OUTBOUND Email RRS feed

  • We have MS CRM 4.0, using email router and Forward mailboxes with users set to track Email messages from CRM Leads, Contact and Accounts.


    This is fine but I have a real problem with users SENDING emails to Contacts and not tracking them in CRM, this is especially frustrating when quotes have been sent but there is no record of it.


    I want to be able to automatically track an email if it is SENT to a CRM contact.


    The only way I can see of doing this is to change the Outlook setting to track All Email Messages. I don't want to do this as the database will get full up of personal and interdepartmental emails which is an unnecessary use of resource.


    This seems pretty basic functionality - anyone else in the same boat?
