Printer operating correctly but windows showing missing driver

  Using HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer, on all three of my computers I am having the same problem.  Two of the computers are win 7 64bit the other is win xp. The all-in-one printer is working fine on all of my computers ie. Print Scan Copy Fax, however, Norton Utilities and Dell Support Center keep telling me that my device is not operating properly and is missing the drivers. I have the most recent drivers installed on all the computers.  One of the win 7 computers is brand new and I installed the printer driver prior to installing any other programs.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers several times on all of the computers utilizing the HP uninstall program which purports to totally clean old files.  I guess I shouldn't bitch since everything is working properly but this is an irritant. I have spent a lot of time with HP on this issue and they insist that it is a problem with windows.  Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated
