hdamake returns the message: "Your system seems to have an out-dated version of Windows Imaging Component. Please download the most recent one from: http://www.microst.com/downloads"
I am running Windows XP SP2 with all the current updates.
I was instructed by Matt to remove WIC with the following commands:
cd c:\WINDOWS\system32
regsvr32 /u WMPhoto.dll
del WMPhoto.dll
and reinstall WIC.
I did as instructed by the result is the same. I even went so far as to install .NET Framework 3.0, remove WIC again, remove hdmake again. I even uninstalled Virtual Earth since I was under the impression that I may have a beta version of WIC from that software. I then reinstalled WIC again, then hdmake - rebooting after each operation. No luck.
Funny .......... I'm able to make everything work OK on my laptop. What do I have on my Desktop that's conflicting with hdmake?
I'd sure appreciate any ideas ................ I'd really like to run it on my more powerful desktop machine.
