Dual Persomalities? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've kinda gotten used to seeing Ed's smiling face twice in the Recent Moderators listing - but now it seems like Dave Patrick has also developed schizophrenia....

    dual listing

  • Based on your sample I think I see the problem - when we're looking into individual forum, the list is OK (e.g. it's old, but it does show people who went to that forum about a month ago). But when we look into the category view, it shows people for all the forums, not for that particular category.

  • That snip was from http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/genuine

...and it's still the same now :)

  • I can only speak for myself, but I am not a moderator in any of those forums. It must be a list of moderators in all forums. Maybe Ed and Dave are listed on more than one forum, and duplicates are not removed.

On the TechNet forums, the recent lists have not been updated in many weeks (as far as I can tell).

  • Yes, I was also surprised to see these people as moderators. I see the same problem, BTW.

And, as Richard said, the list had been stale for at least a month. Kind of depressing to see the same people and same numbers.

  • Strange that Noel didn't register a pic over there.  Maybe he's not doing his job.

    over where?

The WGA forums are relatively low-traffic (as you are WELL aware!) but nonetheless important.

  • Hmm.  Persomalities.  Is that a play on words?

No - it's a typo (lack of caffeine!)

  • It's a well guarded secret how these "recent" lists operate.

    ...and your point is???
