Windows 7 ultimate not genuine

Question
-
Hi i purchased my copy of windows 7 ultimate COA on ebay Aug of 2010. After coming back home from vacation i applied updates to my computer only to find out that my screen had turned black and stated on the lower right hand corner "windows 7, build 7600, this copy of windows is not genuine". I was wondering was this really a counterfeit copy?It came with COA and the seller had great feedback on ebay. Just wondering what i can do to resolve this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Windows Product ID: 00426-068-0796312-86964
The product ID -068- Indicates a not for resale MSDN account. If you are not the account holder and you purchased this in a retail box, the box and it's contents are counterfeit. Demand an immediate refund from the seller

Their job is to sell – unfortunately it’s the pirates’ profit to buy. It’s the buyer’s job to make sure that they know what they are buying, same as it always has been.

Counterfeiters skilled with credit card fraud can subscribe to MSDN and then promptly harvest enough product keys to activate hundreds of computers. These product keys are used during a manufacturing process in China to produce counterfeit copies of Windows. There are tens of thousands of counterfeit boxes just like yours on eBay, the Amazon Marketplace, and discount websites all over the world. The only safety from these is to choose your seller wisely. Stick to the Microsoft Store, Amazon Corp., and well-respected Microsoft partners. It is a major counterfeiting operation and casual buyers are unlikely to spot the fake boxes. The scammers build an excellent seller feedback rating with legit products, usually not computer related, before selling the fake software and disappearing once they see they are about to get caught. The crooks count on lots of folks hoping to find a bargain. When it comes to Windows 7, Office 2010, Creative Studio 5, etc., there just aren't any.
