  • Question

  • Hello,

    We are trying to setup est close date from furtherest date out on top to soonest at the bottom. I cannot sort by this through the gui. When I tried to edit the XML and put in the estclosedate field it will not let me import the chart back in. Has anyone done this? Below is a picture and the snipet of XML code.

            <fetch mapping="logical" aggregate="true">
              <entity name="opportunity">
                <attribute name="estimatedvalue" aggregate="sum" alias="sum_estimatedvalue" />
       <attribute name="estimatedclosedate" groupby="true" alias="stepname" />
       <order alias="stepname" descending="true" />
              </entity>

  • Hi,

       You are missing the dategrouping='day' . Refer to following link for valid examples:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309565(v=crm.6).aspx#groupby_day

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

    I created a test system view with only account name and est close date and the view was sorted by est.close date and then tried the funnel chart with below condition and the chart was sorted by the est.close date order.

    Regards,

    Rekha.J

  • I have completed the same setup as Rekha.J. When I do this the chart is still backwards. It should be Dec 2014 at the bottom. and then Jan 2015 and then Feb 2015. The funnel is backwards no matter what I do to the view. Below is a shot of the view as well.

    I have sorted the view ascending and descending and it makes no difference to the chart.

    Any other ideas?

  • Hi,

        Have you used the order clause for XML?

    Hope this helps.

  • I just tried that and it worked. Thanks so much below is the xml code I used to get it.

              <entity name="opportunity">
                <attribute groupby="true" alias="_CRMAutoGen_groupby_column_Num_0" name="estimatedclosedate" dategrouping="day" />
                <attribute alias="_CRMAutoGen_aggregate_column_Num_0" name="customerid" aggregate="count" />
                <order alias=="_CRMAutoGen_groupby_column_Num_0' descending= "true" />
