Well, if you're using them with CRM Online, you get unified account management, integration, and relatively easy configuration of CRM mail management, especially in CRM 2013, which can directly communicate to Exchange Online, instead of needing the Email
Router.
Also, it means you have virtually no on-premises infrastructure to deal with. If everything is hosted on Office 365, then all your field workers aren't hitting your local corporate network for bandwidth. Of course, the opposite holds true as well,
your office workers will be hitting your external network links all the time.
