Unable to install w/Dynamic Disk? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was having trouble with 2.0, uninstalled and now trying to reinstall it.  It says unable to install as one or more disks on tis PC is incompatible with onecare.  The details say the problem is my dynamic disk (which is my media drive, not the installation drive).

What gives?  Can One Care not work at all if you use dynamic drives?  It worked a few weeks ago...

    Please help.

  • It would appear that OneCare's installer with the latest version is checking the disk partition types. With a Dynamic Partition, OneCare may work or it may not. In your case, it apparently worked before, but if the installer is now checking for this (which I don't know) there isn't a way to bypass it. Why is the media drive's partition set as Dynamic?
