Streaminf Media over Vail. Consisting error with Media Playback. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all.

Everytime I play a mediafile over Homeserver Vail on Google Chrome an error saying "An error occurred while playing the video. For more information, see Known Issues with Media File Types at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=198053" When playing over Internet Explorer Beta 9 the buffer wont fill and no video is presented, the vindow closes automaticly at some point.

LinkId 198053 redirects to "Tutorial: Adding a Sparkline to Your Report (Report Builder 3.0)" at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff519545.aspx and thus havent got anything with the issue.

Finding Known Issues with Media File Types at http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/vail/known-issues-media-file-types-2(loband).aspx this seems to be an encoding issue. Are there progress on this? and shouldnt the the above link be changed..

    Regards.

    Frederik

These are both previously reported issues; search on Connect. Probably the issue with Chrome is a low priority, but hopefully the issue with IE 9 is more urgent. :)
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
