Windows Home Server for Push installs?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • was curious as long as we are using it to back up data on network how about the usefullness of using Windows Home Server as the server for push installs and updates to other computers on the network.

    Say for applications like:

    Executive Diskeeper

    Symantec Corporate Antivirus

I realize these apps come with their own adminstator apps, but would like to have everything in one place.

It would be possible to do that, I suppose, but WHS has a very limited amount of space on the SYS partition, and most of the push tools will want to use that space for storing pushed applications. Also, those tools aren't all that easy to configure, for someone who's not technically sophisticated.
