No "repair" option when trying to re-install RRS feed

    My WHS just crashed with a message suggesting a corrupt system file.  The message also said to use the option "r" on the setup screen to attempt a repair.  However, there is no opportunity to enter an "r" in the setup screen and the drop down menu only allows a new istallation.  Is there some other secret for getting into a repair rather than full installation?

    Hi,

    the message comes from the Server 2003 basic code, which is not supported by the special means of Windows Home Server.

    Would the OS start in Safe mode?
    Does the message refer to a certain file? If the file name by bad luck is "SYSTEM", this means, the registry is damaged. In this case you need to use your WHS DVD to perform a Server Recovery. How this works, depends from the machine you have - is it a hardware appliance from HP, Acer etc or some self built WHS system?
