I am hoping there is a way to find out what the CD KEY is that came with my Windows Genuine Advantage Kit for Windows XP Professional. I have the CD and the case; however, the converter program and the CD KEY they sent me in e-mail are in a old computer that burned out on me. Is there a way to call Microsoft and retrieve it as I purchased it online when it told me my Windows XP was not authentic. Does anyone know if there is a phone number or e-mail address that I can contact to hopefully retrieve the product key that I'm suppose to use with the kit microsoft sent me? Any help would be much appreciate.
Suggestion: when your genuine XP CD comes in the mail, put it into an unused CD jewel case along with a post it now that has the Product Key written on it, and then store in a safe place. It wouldn't hurt to burn a copy to keep in another safe place too!
