    Streets and Trips 2011 won't open 2004 maps.

    In the scant documentation I can find it says that it will open maps from 2004 onward.

    But as usual with MS, that is not the case.

    Life would be so much easier if in the sales specs it said, MAY NOT OPEN OLDER MAPS. That way we would not waste our time and money on it.

    Sorry for the rant, but it's taken nearly an hour and a phone call just to get here.

    I agree, while the current help file might have been somewhat "updated", it also still contains information that is now outdated for the 2011 version.

    Larry's reply (here in the 2nd post) points at a way to open files saved in old versions like yours (2005, 2004, etc) in much newer product versions:
