Buying Windows Home Server power pack 1 OEM, will it activate a powerback 3?

Question
-
I am going to buy Windows Home Server Power pack 1 OEM off amazon later today and just wanted to make sure the code would activate a power pack 3. I used the trial from Windows Home Server first, and plan on purchasing the full copy so I can use it past the 30 days. This is what I plan on buying: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5Q8CO/ref=s9_simh_gw_p65_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0QFMVQFJSQKABA8B3QX6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
just want to make sure that is the correct version. Thanks in advanceFriday, February 26, 2010 5:03 PM

It's fine, but see this FAQ regarding moving from the trial to a full version.

The trial software can't be activated using a regular full product key. Even if you could, you would have a 120 day trial instead of a 30 day trial, because there's a time bomb built into the evaluation that will disable it after 120 days. This is laid out in the FAQ I linked.

Windows Home Server for me is just asking for an activation key? Would it delete me data if I just entered the key?Friday, February 26, 2010 6:28 PM
