Send emails through CRM via a shared mailbox RRS feed

  • Hi there people,

    Need some help with something: I configured the CRM to send automatic emails when a specific action occurs through my email address/user.

    What I need to do now is to change that, I need those emails to be sent by other user I've created just for that, but that user is using a shared mailbox. Already tried to send those emails but unsuccessfully.

    Does anyone there can help me with this, or send me some advices?

  • In that scenario, I would typically create a Queue with the shared mailbox, then enter the user's credential to process the email.

    If you would like to use a User instead, you need to enter the shared mailbox in the primary email address. Then in this user's Personal Option, allow other users to send email on this user's behalf. Then, configure via Security Role to allow all other users to send email on behalf of other users.

    In both options, you might need to Approve the Email on either Queue or User record depending on your configuration.
