Renewal of Live onecare

  My subscription was set for an auto renew on 6-9-09 it said the auto renewal was complete. now it said the card I used had expired and saying I need to renew. When I go to renew it says I do not need to and that there is a six month extension. I have never recieved an extension! The billing page says that if I change the credit card information it will bill automatically when I hit the save changes. Question is if I do this will it automatically reactivate and if Live Onecare is going to be discontinued what will happen to my subscription untill next year?
