Plugin not firing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have a plugin that I previously registered against CRM 2011 onpremise and it worked fine.  It is an autonumber plugin against a custom entity.  I had to unregister to make a slight change.  In the meantime we applied rollup 10.  I have reregistered the plugin but get the following error when it tries to fire.

    Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: An unexpected error occurred.Detail:

    </OrganizationServiceFault>

    It appears to be due to the systems.collections.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this issue.

    Regards.

  • It's not clear from the error whether the problem is with CRM attempting to call the plugin, or with your code in the plugin. Do you have any error handling code in the plugin ?

    I suggest you try debugging to see if the plugin is actually being executed

  • Generally, iis reset and async service reset has solved similar issues for me...
