Need advice on Microsoft certification exams RRS feed

  • I Have experience in VB.Net for 3 years and recently I started working on ASP.NET, I want to apply for the certification exam in ASP.NET(web) platform, can you please help me on this

    Does I need to first apply for 70-5152 or I can directly apply to MVC4 certification 70-486.

  • You can take 70-486 directly if you wish. It does not have any prerequisites. Note, however, that this exam uses the C# language, not VB.NET. There is (yet) no equivalent exam available in VB.NET.

  • Hi Dhiraj,

    Danny is correct here. Microsoft did not publish VB.NET versions of exams for Visual Studio 2012 or 2013. For the current Web Developer track, you will need to know C#, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3. The exam numbers for this track are 70-480, 70-486, and 70-487.

    Visual Studio 2010 was the last time you had the option to take exams in C# or VB.NET.
