I guess a reasonable amount of work and personal emails over a period of twenty years, for a person active on various forums who didn't want to share his main email on every forum he signed up.
This I am trying to do strictly for forum posting here, not for anything else. It's not that big of a deal I'll just use a different account. But over the years I was actually forced to open new accts to post here because of this problem and last time I
did so, I wrote the email and password I used, which with a 100% certainty I know has been deactivated because the login here said "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one." So they do deactivate email accts.
Maybe they did so with whatever email I used, but my posts from 10+ years ago stand.
But either way, is it unreasonable to remember your user name but forget the email? I mean we can enter ANY email and the reset request WILL BE sent to that email. But we cannot enter a user name and do the same?
In *both* cases you must have actual access to that email to do anything or even to find out which email it is.
