I have 2x used Office licences, how to find their owner? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I work in IT, and sometimes I resell Microsoft products.

Sometimes, in case of emergency, I ask my provider to send me a CDKEY per email and send me the original box later.

So, it happens that while cleaning up my office, I found two used "Office 2013 Home & Business" boxes, with their CDKEY card and all. But they have been around for a couple of years, so I don't know which of my customers they belong to.

I'd like a MS representative to contact me please, so I can provide the full CDKEY and he can tell me to which email account (even if it has some "******" in it as he can't give me the full email address) it is registered, so I can figure out the owner and send him(them) the box.

  • MS keep no records of the owner of any particular Key, unless the product was purchased through the Microsoft Store.
