  • But, if your experience is like mine, you cannot edit anything. I could view Wiki articles, but not edit (even if I logged in, which was necessary after almost all screen changes). I could not access any forums (since about 15 hours ago).

The fix for me was to restart my computer. I don't think restarting IE worked for me. Now I can access forums, and I just edited a Wiki article.

  • Thank you reply.

his symptom has been going on about two months.Cause that occurred is because the displayname is changed.

    about two year's ago.

    1. Account-A's displayname changes k.kamegawa
    2. Account-B's displayname changes kkamegawa

    about two month's ago.

    1. Account-A's displayname changes kkamegawa
    2. Account-B's displayname changes k.kamegawa

After twice changes displayname, shows ASP.NET error page with login MSDN/Technet forum.

  • Okay. So apparently you might have switched the names of the accounts with each other, and that messed up the system. =^)

The workaround/fix is to change the http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/profile/kkamegawa (Account-A) display name back to "K.Kamegawa" and to change the http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/profile/k.kamegawa (Account-B) display name back to "kkamegawa" instead.

As this is not a support forum, if the problem continues, please file a support ticket. To open a support ticket about a specific forum issue, see Option 1; Option 2. Or email "fissues" at Microsoft.

    Thanks!

  • Thank you!

    But, this issue continue.

    I had reported Option2(MSDN site feedback),but had responded yet(about 4 month ago).

    I will take Option1.

  • The forums support team didn't see any display name changes done recently that you did on either profile. So again they want to suggest the workaround, for you to change your two profile display names. They are not able to make the work around fix.

    Profile:

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/kkamegawa/activity (Account- A)

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/k.kamegawa/activity (Account- B)

    Please make these changes:

Change Account-A (Live ID: k_kame77) display name to K.Kamegawa in profile

Change Account-B (k_kame) display name to kkamegawa in profile

    Thanks!
