I've been using the Microsoft ProvateNews newsgroups for many years, and it was easy to find the correct newsgroup, and browse the threads that were posted. Here, how do I know where to post? I need to ask a question about ISA Server 2006 listeners and Server 2008 R2 mandatory profiles? where do I post these questions? there is nothing for ISA Server nor for Windows Server 2008 R2 setup/deployment.Monday, May 24, 2010 8:57 PM

Hello ,
Thank you for your post! I would suggest posting your ISA Server question in the 'Forefront Products and Technologies'located here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/forefront
and Server 2008 R@ question in the 'Windows Server 2008 R2 General' located here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsserver2008r2general/threads
Have a great day!
Thanks!

thanks for the reply, but the reason I was asking is because there is nothing in http://social.microsoft.com/forums for these types of questions. I used to post in the NNTP newsgroups and everything you wanted was in that forum. Now the general response to these types of questions is that you have to go to other sites to post them (e.g. http://social.technet.microsoft.com or http://social.msdn.microcoft.com) rather than finding everything on one site. What's the likelihood of everything being brought back under one roof like it used to be?

Less and less likely. More sites are opening with various branding. But some of them (MSDN, TechNet, Expressions) are tied together with the same profile system.
Thanks!
