Recover Windows Dynamic Domain address RRS feed

    Until today, I had WHS v1 working perfectly with 'my' domain [xxxxx].homeserver.com. I want to use the same URL for the server with VAIL, but it looks like when my ISP migrated their email addresses (now hosted by Windows Live), my old live ID that the URL was registered won't log in anymore. Is there any way to relink my old remote access URL with the new server, even though my old live ID doesn't work anymore?

    Or, do the domains become available again after a certain period of time?

    The domain will become available again after a period of time, but I believe that period is at least several weeks. Since you say you no longer have the ability to access your old LiveID, I would just create a new one and move on.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    Too bad.. cause I really like it!

    Does the fact that it was working yesterday, even though the LiveID was deleted five months ago matter?
