Confused about drives RRS feed

    When installing WHS 2011 is it better to pull all drives except the smallest one (250 GB) and then add the others after. Will it pick up a larger drive (1 TB at the moment) for client backups?

    I'm begining to realize what a boon DE was :(

    I disconnected all drives except the one I wanted to use as the boot/inital data drive. I did this just to insure it installed on the drive I wanted. I then added the other drives in and setup the volumes and started moving the shares over to the drive I wanted to put them on.

    You will have to go into the dashboard and move the client backup server folder to the new drive but it is simple to do even if you already have backups in that client backup folder. Just right click the Client Computer Backup folder and select Move The Folder and then follow the wizard.
