InstallShield DISM failing with Windows 10 Creators Update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hopefully this is in the correct Forum:

    My developers have scripted our application to install via InstallShield. Part of this install process is enabling about 14 Windows Features via DISM for our application suite. On machines running Windows 10 Creators Update, these feature calls are failing :

    5-24-2017[07:52:45 AM]: CWindowsFeatureParcel::Install: using DismAPI on Windows 8 or newer
    5-24-2017[07:52:45 AM]: Engine: request for proxy handler, 0, 1
    5-24-2017[07:52:46 AM]: No source paths specified for DismEnableFeature
    5-24-2017[07:52:48 AM]: CWindowsFeatureParcel::CallDismApi result: 0x00000001
    5-24-2017[07:52:48 AM]: Windows feature install result status: 0x80070001
    5-24-2017[07:52:48 AM]: Failed installing Windows features for parcel 'Web Client', error 0x80070001
    5-24-2017[07:52:48 AM]: Engine: property 'ISInstallStatus' value now 'IDS_SUITE_INTERRUPTED'

    As I understand it, we're not the only ones experiencing this issue. Has anyone figured out a workaround for this or a permanent solution?

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting here.

    I am not sure that the issue is related to software development, Could you please tell me what type of your project?

    For InstallShield, i think that this is third product, you could consult their support.

    I will move the case to off-topic forum.

    Best Regards,
