Why not a MS DOS / Batch Programming Forum? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know that MS DOS and Batch programming is really old hat, but it is still widely used widely for build, install, and configuration.

So why is it ignored and not have an MSDN forum?

  • Hello,
on msnews.microsoft.com is a NNTP newsgroups:
    microsoft.public.windows.server.scripting
Maybe this place could help you, since batch programming is rarely for itself.
Some other scripting newsgroups seem to be single focussed to VBS.

But on the other side - you said it is really old, so practically it may be time to move on to PowerShell and VBScript.
    Best greetings from Germany
