The product key is blocked from use

Question
-
I have a win 7 ultimate running in a virtual machine which has been working well for a few months. Today it suddenly displays the message that the windows is not genuine so I tried to activate again and got the message that product key is blocked from use.
Prior to I noticed that problem, the virtual machine has crashes a couple of time during boot because there is not enough available memory on the host, after rebooting the host, the virtual machine boots normally, then I noticed the not genuine message, not sure if this is related.
I don't exactly remember where the key came from but it is more likely purchased on Ebay.
Below is the MGADiag log.

Unfortunately, your product key for Windows 7 Ultimate is non-genuine likely because it originated from a now defunct MSDN Subscription account. Only thing you can do now is purchase a genuine Windows license and perform a "clean install".

I guess a clean install is not necessary though.Monday, January 23, 2017 7:36 PM

Microsoft no longer distributes or sells licenses for Windows 7 Ultimate edition. The only version sold today is Windows 7 Professional which would require a "clean install" since you have Windows 7 Ultimate installed.

Unless I somehow got another valid win7 ultimate key.Monday, January 23, 2017 8:33 PM

If you "somehow got another valid win7 ultimate key", it will likely be counterfeit. Microsoft does not sell standalone product keys. A genuine Windows 7 license comes in a hermetically sealed package that includes a Microsoft Windows 7 holographic DVD, Certificate of Authenticity, and printed information.
