The  0xC004C4A2 error would indicate that the Key has been blocked for some reason.... most likely because it's an MSDN Key that has been abused.
From where did you buy your Win 7 copy? - the Key in use is a Retail Key and should never have been provided with a new computer, except at extra cost The motherboard appears to be a retail one - and has a BIOS date of May 2009 (well before Win 7 came out), so it's unlikely that it could have shipped with a proper OEM SLP Key - is there a COA Sticker on the machine at all? - if so, for what version and edition of Windows?

  • Hello Dan Bohnert,

Unfortunatly, the product key is a "not-for-resale" MSDN Subscription product key that is Blocked. If possible, contact the seller and demand an immediate refund.  Do not accept a "replacement" or anything like that.

Please the sticky thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindows7/thread/a2444f34-0aff-4f29-a8ac-67e28b0c0285 for additional information on these type of Blocked keys.

    Thank you,
