how can i solve root@localhost's password error in boss linux

   hi i am using boss5.0 Linux.now am installing hadoop for my project purpose in that step (CONFIGURE SSH),i have an error in $ssh localhost  Command. I give my root user command but that is not worked that shows an error message is 

  permission denied,please try again later 

  so will you please help me to solve this error
