After recently migrating from Notes to Exchange, and Sametime to OCS, I'm trying to implement an Active Directory "bot" to return AD information about any particular user within the OCS client. Sametime has a bot that you can simple reference the bot (as any other user) and ask it questions. Nothing elaborate, just simply a name, like "John", and it will return everybody who has "John" anywhere in their AD record.
It doesn't need to be extravagant, it only needs to return the users address, phone number, email address, etc... simple things that an AD query could return.
Does OCS 2007 have the same functionality? With either a plug-in or native?
Thanks! I've downloaded the UCMA SDK, as well as Visual Studio (download from MSDN going to take another 14 hours... yuck). I was hoping it'd be easier than all this.
Superdave - my original response got "eaten" by the forum migration. My company specializes in application development for the Microsoft UC platform and has written components of other applications that do exactly what you are looking for.
