Genuine Windows 7 not Genuine Anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an ASUS N53S laptop I purchased from Newegg last year. Everything was fine for a good while. In March I reformatted this computer, and earlier today I started getting messages that my copy of Windows 7 isn't genuine anymore. I didn't have my original Windows CD but had my key and used my husband's Windows CD instead to install. Maybe that was the mistake I made since I moved from the US to Canada and his copy was bought in Canada? I'm not sure. Looking to see what my options are to fix this.

  • Thank you! I did that and restarted the computer, and I don't see any "not genuine" messages anymore.
